Honda’s Civic Tourer Active Life concept car got plenty of BikeRadar readers excited when it was first announced back in September last year. Now, visitors to this year’s London Bike Show will get a chance to get up close and personal with the bike-friendly estate in its debut appearance before the UK public.

Based on Honda’s existing Civic Tourer diesel, a car capable of a genuine 100mpg (2.82l/km), the concept ditches passenger seats and uses a unique central fuel tank to create a layout that allows for secure and well organised storage of two bikes plus plenty of other clever, cycle-focused integrations. Honda (UK) is the headline sponsor for the Triathlon Show, sister show to the London Bike Show. Both shows run simultaneously at ExCel London from 11-14 February 2016.

As well as debuting the Civic Tourer Active Life Concept, Honda will also display its entire line-up of new cars along with a unique opportunity to try out certain models on a test drive track facility on site.

Phil Crossman, Managing Director for Honda (UK) comments: “This amazing Concept takes the Civic Tourer’s already incredible practicality and versatility to another level, with several extremely clever solutions to make the very most of its tardis-like interior space. While just a design study with no plans for mass production at this stage, it does go to show how our cars are ideal for customers with an active lifestyle, and we’re looking forward to hearing what visitors to the show think of it.”
