Amateur cyclists have the opportunity to ride large parts of the 2011 UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships course in Italy on 26 June 2011.
Registration has been open since early September for the event, which features a Marathon (77.1km, 1,980km of ascent) or Classic (51.7km, 1,310m of climbing) distance.
The pro men will contest a 116.8km course, with 2,910m of ascent, while the pro women will race over 98.5km, with 2,290m of climbing.
The cost to register is currently €30, which will increase by €10 from 1 January 2011. Men and women aged 18 or over can enter, provided they have either a valid cycling federation licence of medical certificate.
