Amateur riders have a chance to earn a place at one of Europe's biggest dirt jump contests, Big In Bavaria, by entering the Go Big Or Go Home comp at Munich's Bike Expo 2010.

The best 10 mountain bike riders at the event, which takes place on 22-23 July during the trade-only section of the show, will automatically qualify for Big In Bavaria Vol.II, which takes place at the end of the show in front of a big crowd, on the weekend of 25-26 July.

Entry costs just €15, and if you make it through to the main event you'll be competing for a share of a €20,000 prize pot. But it won't be easy – competitors in last year's inaugural event included Canadian slopestyle star Darren Berrecloth, British dirt jumping hero Sam Pilgrim and Swedish ace, and event winner, Martin Soderstrom.

The Go Big Or Go Home jumps will be smaller than the super-sized doubles of Big In Bavaria but should still offer plenty of airtime to show off tricks. For more information, visit www.gobigorgohome.de. For more about the Expo, visit www.bike-expo.com.

Big In Bavaria is part of the new Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour, which includes the MBUK Dirt Jump Invitational at BikeRadar Live. This takes place at Brands Hatch, Kent on 10-11 July. For details, visit live2010.bikeradar.com.
