Connex by Wippermann have announced a new chain, the Black Edi, just in time for winter. It's black coated with brass pins (speckled snake, anyone?) and Connex claim it's "extremely robust" and "long lasting".
The Black Edi is available in 9 and 10-speed versions which should be compatible with most drive train systems. Connex say a 110 link 10sp chain weighs 275g while the equivalent 9sp version weighs 289g. The chains come with a Connex link for easy installation if you don't like using chain tools.
It will retail for £44.99/£42.99 (10sp/9sp), €49.90/€44.90 (10sp/9sp) and $84.95/$79.95 (10sp/9sp) in the UK/Europe/US.
