Zipp Speed Weaponry are offering a custom decal service to people who buy their top-of-the-range ZEDTECH carbon wheels.
Customers could already choose the colour of their spokes, hub caps and nuts by logging onto the American firm's website.
Now, thanks to a partnership with Wheeltags, riders can customise their wheels further by choosing the colours and material of the Zipp decals on the rims. They can even see a preview of how their wheels will look, both stationary and in motion.
Andy Paskins, marketing manager for Indiana-based Zipp, said: “ZEDTECH represents the absolute pinnacle in custom performance race wheels. With options for Si3N4 silicon nitride ceramic bearings, rim laminates, spoke nipple colors, flange cap colors and end cap colors, adding custom decals was the next logical step. With all of these options available ZEDTECH customers can truly have a one-of-a-kind wheelset.”
For US$160 per wheel (approx £105), riders can have complete colour customisation within the CMYK spectrum. For $220 (approx £140) they can have complete colour customisation plus a lighter/thinner or reflective material. See www.zipp.com/zedtech.
