Freeride guru Darren Berrecloth has broken his back while training for the upcoming contest season. The Specialized/Red Bull sponsored rider was attempting a front flip at his own backyard trails yesterday and under rotated, landing heavily on his back.
'Bearclaw' suffered three broken vertebrae but his spinal cord is thought to be undamaged. He's now recovering in hospital, where we wish him a speedy recovery. He seems in good spirits, posting on his Twitter page: "Man I wish made enough money to buy a foam pit. Then maybe I wouldn't of broke my back cuz dirt hurts."
