Wiggle brand DHB has launched its ASV range, a new pro-level kit with identical spec to its Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling team race kit.

The ASV range is promised to be lightweight, technical and aero, while maintaining DHB’s usual keen pricing. Each jersey and bib pairing comes in red, blue and yellow colourways.

Light, aero and fast-wicking – the new ASV jersey claims to offer all the benefits of pro-level kit for less money

The ASV short-sleeved jersey comes in at £59.99, and won’t bother you on climbs, thanks to a claimed weight of 120g for a medium size. The jersey features a skin-hugging aero cut and incorporates Hydrofit wicking technology for fast heat and moisture transfer, as well as an antibacterial treatment.

The front features a full-length YKK zip. There are three pockets on the rear – the centre one featuring a smaller zipped section – and there’s also internal routing for race radio wiring. The jersey is finished with 3M reflective details.

DHB ASV bibs

Carbon fibre in your shorts, sir? The new ASV bibs use carbon for better heat regulation

The ASV bibs cost £64.99, weigh a claimed 171g for a medium pair and incorporate a lightweight carbon fibre mesh to improve temperature regulation. The cut is compressive to support muscles while maintaining comfort, and the Lycra Sport Italian fabric is said to offer full freedom of movement.

The new Elastic Interface Endurance chamois has been designed specifically for male cyclists and has a comfy microfibre surface layer as well as varying thicknesses matched to key sciatic pressure points. The pad is also perforated to improve airflow and help maintain freshness on long rides.

Exclusive to Wiggle, the new DHB ASV range is on sale now. Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling manager, owner and rider, Rochelle Gilmore, said: “Each of my athletes spend thousands of hours in the saddle each season, so it’s essential that all team kit is exceptionally comfortable. It must create as little drag as possible, breathe and provide comfort. DHB took our continual feedback on board to create kit that helps propel our riders to the front of the peloton.”

We’ll have a set in for a full review soon to give you the lowdown on whether the claims of top performance at a bargain price bear out.
