With entry limited to 500 riders, you'll have to be quick to get a place in this year's Set 2 Rise 12-hour mountain bike enduro on Salisbury Plain.

Sponsored by Charge Bikes, the event on the May bank holiday weekend is open to solo riders and singlespeeders, teams of up to four riders and pairs.

Organisers SPAM biking say: "The course consists of a seven-mile lap, offering fantastic mountain biking including fast tracks, grassy inclines and descents, and boasts almost 50 percent fun, technical wooded singletrack, leaving riders grinning from ear to ear!"

At the race village in Erlestoke, Wiltshire you'll be able to demo Charge bikes and pop into the Drop Off Cafe bus for some grub. There'll also be a trade stand for all your equipment needs, official timing and up-to-date lap times on display, plus the folk from MuleBar will have samples, support and (if last year is anything to go by) top tunes and a warm fire during the night.

Online entry closes on 23 May. For more details, visit www.spambiking.co.uk.
