Entries open on Sunday for the 2011 UCI Wiggle Magnificat. The event – known as the Highclere Castle sportive before this year's change of venue to Newbury Racecourse – takes place on Sunday 12 June.

There's a choice of three different length rides across Hampshire and Wiltshire – the 127-mile MagnifiCat, 81-mile InterCat and 51-mile CommuniCat – as well as a 2.5-mile KiddiCat children's ride. This will have all the features you'd expect of an adult sportive – chip timing, bike numbers, a feed station and lap time displays.

Organisers say: "Whatever your riding ability, we have something for you as our ethos is to encourage everyone and anyone to get on their bikes, get fit and enjoy cycling!" New for this year are training sessions with Andy Cook, CoolCat Go Ride Racing for 11- to 14-year-olds, and a Wattbike challenge. Entries are limited to 2,000.
