The GE1 grips from Ergon are new for 2014 and have been designed specifically for downhill/enduro mountain biking.

Ergon worked with the Canyon enduro team and most notably, multiple downhill champion Fabien Barel, to develop them.

The idea behind the GE1s was to create a set of grips that could @font-face { font-family: "Times New Roman"; }@font-face { font-family: "BentonSansCond-Light"; }p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal { margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }table.MsoNormalTable { font-size: 10pt; font-family: Courier; }div.Section1 { page: Section1; } be used more specifically for downhill trail riding/enduro racing, where riders hold the grips on the outside edge, with their elbows bent.

The GE1 grips use a single carbon reinforced inner collar to lock onto the bar and are shaped in a way that helps to alleviate arm and hand pump.
