The new LS1+ chain guide from e*thirteen is now available in the UK. Said to be just as strong and reliable as the top-end LG1+, it's a bit heavier (a claimed 245g compared to 169g) and considerably cheaper (£79.95 with taco guard, £59.95 without).

Pete Drew, from UK distributors Silverfish, said: "The new LS1+ shares many of the same features as the LG1+ which was used by Steve Peat to win the 2009 World Championships.

"This means that even riders on a tighter budget can benefit from the high-end performance and reliability of running an e*thirteen chain guide which is backed up by years of development and testing to the highest level.”
