SR Suntour are moving into the ‘urban suspension’ market for 2010 with their new 25mm-travel, coil-sprung fork dubbed the Swing Shock.

To avoid road grime and cut down on maintenance, the spring is tucked away in the steerer tube and the pivot sits to the rear of the fork.

The fork crown is alloy with magnesium lowers to cut down on weight. It doubles up as a stout mudguard with front light fitting.

Q-Loc quick-release system

Suntour were also showing off their Q-Loc quick-release skewer for through-axle hubs. The skewer can be inserted and removed with one simple movement – it's difficult to describe but you can check out the video on Suntour's site.

Available for 20mm and 15mm axles, it looks like a good, secure way to reduce pre- and post-ride faffing. We'll have reviews of Suntour's new suspension and quick-release systems soon on BikeRadar.
