Felt is recalling about 3,300 triathlon bikes, including all S22 and S32 bikes from 2008, and all S32, B12, B14 and B16 bikes from 2010. This recall is in addition to the 2,100 units with the same steerer tube that were recalled in June 2010.

All the recalled Felt bikes have carbon fiber forks with aluminum steerer tubes.

The model number is printed on the frame, next to the Felt logo. The 2008 S22 model is gloss white and the 2008 S32 is gloss red. The 2010 S32 model is gloss black, the 2010 B12 is gloss white, the 2010 B14 is gloss pewter and the 2010 B16 is in matte black.

The 2010 Felt B14 is one of five tri bikes recalled for a faulty steerer tube

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, Felt received 18 reports of the forks/steerer tubes breaking, including five reports of minor injuries.

Anyone with one of these bikes should stop riding it immediately and contact their local Felt Bicycles dealer for a free inspection and steerer tube replacement.

The bikes were sold in the US between October 2007 and February 2014 for between US$1,500 and US$3,000.

In the summer of 2010, Felt recalled the model year 2009 B16, S32 and B12 for the same issue. The year before, Felt recalled its 2007/2008 F1X cyclocross bike for a faulty steerer tube as well.
