Final route details of the inaugural Ride Around London sportive, which is set to take place on Sunday 25 September, have been announced.

A challenging 115 mile trek, with 1,313m of climbing, will see riders depart from the newly refurbished Herne Hill Velodrome and take in the country lanes on the outskirts of the English capital.

The ride will take you up Box Hill - one of the key features of next year’s Olympic road route - as well as passing the North Downs, Eton Dorney and the Chilterns, before finishing in north London at the Lee Valley White Water Centre. An alternative 60 mile route is also available, departing from Eton Dorney in the west of the city.

So far around 800 riders have signed up, and with online registration closing on 20 September, you will need to act quick to secure a place. Entry costs £28, and all riders are encouraged to raise at least £50 for charity Access Sport, who are organising the event. To book your place, visit the event website.
