French ethical footwear company Veja have teamed up with Parisien fixed-gear bike shop Cyclope to create a new shoe.

The trainer has been specifically designed for fixie riders. It's made of organic cotton canvas, with leather reinforcement on the toe and a sole made of wild Amazonian rubber that, at 25mm thick, is said to give the perfect blend of cushioning and power.

As well as the black-blue-turquoise colourway pictured here the shoe will be available in black-red-carmine (deep red).

The collaboration trainers will be released on 1 February 2010, with a limited run of just 384 pairs. They'll be available in the UK at Brick Lane Bikes and Offspring shoe shop in Neal Street, Covent Garden, as well as at Cyclope in Paris.
