When we announced the formation of the new 4mountains/Fox/Zumbi World Team earlier this month, many people's first reaction was "who the hell are Zumbi?".
Well, they're a Polish brand who are new to the UK and they've just sent us some shots of their tasty looking 2009 bikes.
We've got exclusive pictures of their Voodoo Street frame and some close-ups of the burly F-44 downhill rig. We thought you might like a look. Click on the thumbnails on the right for more images.
Voodoo hardtail
The Voodoo is a light and strong dirt jump/4X/freeride frame which is hand welded and CNC machined in Poland from 7020 alloy. Weighing in at 5.5lbs, it's designed to be used with a 100-130mm suspension fork.
With box-section, 'double-decker' chainstays and S-bend seatstays, and head tube gussets and wrap-around reinforcement up front, it looks like a bombproof rig. It's available in two sizes – 14in and 15in – and two guises – standard and Street (like the pink one pictured above). The Street has a shorter rear triangle.
F44 downhill bike
The F44 downhill frame is hand welded and CNC machined in Poland from top grade 7020 and 7075 alloy. It has a low centre of gravity and can be built into a sub-40lb rig.
The Floating Pivot System (FPS) suspension is designed to be plush at the start with a progressive stroke to prevent harsh bottoming, and offers up 220mm (8.7ins) of travel. An F-44ti version is available which has all four pivot axles made of Ti6Al4V titanium.
The bike costs £1,699 (standard) or £1,799 (ti) and comes with a Fox DHX 5 shock and two-year race warranty.
