Four-cross world champion Caroline Buchanan will ride for Commencal in 2010 aboard an Absolut Titanium 4X hardtail.

The young Aussie was just 18 when she won the senior world title last year, beating established riders like Jill Kintner and Melissa Buhl.

At the weekend she again topped the podium in Canberra, this time at the Australian 4X National Championships.

Commencal's Australian distributor Bill Phillips said: "Max Commencal and I have spoken about looking at possible young riders for the future that Commencal could support and bring into the family. Caroline fitted the characteristics: a strong rider, a great competitor, professional in the way she approaches sport and competition, with a focus on her goals and direction.

"When I first met Caroline I knew immediately she was the person we were looking for. She spoke easily, expressed herself capably and confidently. She is multi disciplined and skilled both in mountain bike and BMX. Moreover, she told me about her achievements, which are many, her goals for the future, her passion for women in our sport and being a role model for younger girls."
