British brand Genesis have unveiled an all-new production fat bike at this week's iceBike show in Milton Keynes. The UK-designed model, known as the Caribou was on display alongside the rest of the company's range.

The Caribou gets a full Reynolds 520 frameset complete with a 170mm rear end – necessary to make way for Surly’s monstrous combination of 80mm Rolling Darryl hoops and 4in Nate tyres.

The frame is paired to a triple-butted chromo fork with 135mm spacing. Between the frame and fork you’re guaranteed to get all the bosses and mounts you’d ever need!

The transmission is a simple affair; a single 32T ring upfront pairs with a 10-speed SLX derailleur out back, while a Mr.Control chainguide is also fitted as standard to help keep things tight.

Cranks are Race Face’s Ride XC models and spin via a 100mm bottom bracket. Braking is taken care of by Shimano’s faithful M395 hydraulic stoppers with 160mm rotors front and rear.

Three frame sizes are available – 17.5, 19 and 20.5in – with complete builds coming in at £1,499.99. A frame and forks package will also be available for £499.99. For more information see www.genesisbikes.co.uk.
