GT Factory Racing unveil 2012 look

Athertons and Beaumont back in black

The Athertons – siblings Dan, Gee and Rachel – have cut a dash on the downhill circuit in recent years in their distinctive blue and white Animal race kit so their stealthy new look for 2012 comes as a bit of a surprise.

Their move from Commencal to the new GT Factory Racing team, alongside fellow Brit Marc Beaumont, brings with it both a change of bike and a change of clothing sponsors. We saw Gee's new GT Fury earlier this year and today the squad unveiled their new ONE Industries race kit, during a pre-season training camp in Newport Beach, California.

The bikes and clothing share the same black, white and yellow theme. "We've gone for a subtler look this year for our main race kit," said 2008 world champion Rachel Atherton, via press release. "But don’t worry, we'll be mixing it up with a few other offerings from ONE as the year progresses."

The team will be running Shimano Saint groupsets, Shimano shoes and Atherton edition PRO components, along with Fox suspension, Continental tyres, e*thirteen chain devices, FSA headsets, Stan’s NoTubes tubeless conversions and Tibolts.co.uk hardware. Other sponsors include
