A weekend cycling festival featuring a mountain bike enduro, road sportives and bike demos is being hosted by UK retailer Hargroves Cycles.

The QE Cycle Fest 2012 (19-20 May) will be held at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield, Hampshire, with British Cycling, Garmin and our sister magazine Mountain Biking UK on board as partners.

Festivities get underway at 8am Saturday with the Garmin Sportive, an 80km/50km (both £25) tour of the rolling terrain of the Meon Valley. As with all events across the weekend, entry proceeds go into the coffers of charity Cancer Research UK. Later that day at 2pm, a Go Ride event will help novice cyclists under 16 make the transition into competitive cycling. And from 6pm, you’ll be pitched against members of MBUK’s Wrecking Crew in the solo four hour Royal Rumble Enduro (£20) across a 5km loop of the park.

Other events that day include the unveiling of the park’s new red trail at 12pm, built by the QECP Trail Building Collective, and live bands from 6pm-11pm. Free camping will be available on Saturday night, allowing you to stick around for Sunday’s demo day of bikes from Specialized, Cube, Stevens, Cannondale, Surly. Pivot and Kinesis. Shimano Tech will also be on hand for any running repairs across the weekend.

Other companies supporting the event include Fox, Lezyne, Kryptonite, Gore, Capo, Sportful and Capital FM with more to be confirmed.

Entry to each event is open now and you can register here.
