Hoy Bikes has updated its range of kids' Napier balance bikes, as well as improving the specifications.

With Christmas fast approaching, three new colours have been added to the lineup. The beginners' bikes are now offered in blue, yellow, red and green, inspired by the World Championship rainbow bands, which Sir Chris Hoy won on no less than 11 occasions across four disciplines.

The entire Napier range has also been upgraded with vertical rear dropouts, which make it easier to get the rear wheel in and out of the bike, and a new fork, inspired by the BMX bikes Sir Chris used to ride in his early racing days.

Existing features of the range include a low standover height and a lightweight-butted frame, making this an easily-controlled bike for the youngest of riders. A rear handle aids parental control of a cycling toddler and makes carry the bike easier.

The Hoy Napier Runner balance bike costs £110 and is available from Evans Cycles.
