IG London Nocturne comes to London Bike Show

Billed as the UK's first indoor criterium

A version of the IG London Nocturne will make its debut at next year's London Bike Show at the ExCel Arena.

Popular events from the Nocturne such as the folding bike and penny-farthing races will sit alongside elite men’s and women’s criteriums. The track for the latter will be a replica of the Nocturne at Smithfield Market in what organisers are calling the UK’s first fully indoor criterium.

But don't worry about the future of the summer Nocturne - the January event is a case of 'as well as' rather than 'instead of', and will act as a launch pad for the 2013 event.

Racing will take place throughout the duration of the show (17-20 January), which will see brands including Ridgeback, Marin, Wilier, Brooks and GoPro exhibiting their 2013 products. Visitors will get the chance to test ride bikes on the 500m Nocturne circuit up until racing begins in late afternoon each day.

They'll also get the opportunity to witness the launch of the U23 road squad Team Madison Genesis as well as sit in on Q&A sessions with some of Britain’s top cyclists.

Tickets to the show normally cost £16 but enter the code LBS300 at checkout before midnight on Friday 5 October, BST, and you’ll get entry for just £10. After that, use the code RAD26, which will get you £12 adult tickets until 31 December 2012 – that's a saving of 40 percent on the door price.
