Montreal-based Urbana Bikes have taken the concept of 'one size fits all' to a different level with their colourful and versatile commuter and transport line, soon to be available in the US.

Designed by Balfa Bikes' Jerome Roy, the Urbana is made to fit riders between 5ft and 6ft 5in tall. It combines a curved step-through frame with 26in wheels.

Available in 12 colours, the Canadian-made aluminium frame and steel fork is available with several drivetrain and component options, all with a riser bar and BMX stem combo for adjustable reach. A 3-speed model retails for approximately US$1,149; 7- and 8-speed options will cost more.

Reinforced to the gills, eh?

Urbana's clever Pick Your Hood mode allows customers to choose which colour, terrain (flat, rolling or mountainous), climate (rainy or dry) and use (utility, commuting or recreation), then recommends a custom spec. For more information, visit www.urbanabikes.com.

More than 100lb of carrying capacity back there!
