Isaac in voluntary liquidation

Bosses confident a new investor will be found

Isaac, makers of the Sonic road bike, have gone into voluntary liquidation

Anglo-German company Isaac Bicycles have gone into voluntary liquidation. A new investor is being sought to take on the business.

The high-end brand – their cheapest bike in the UK costs £1,700 – had been struggling amid the global economic downturn.

Bosses are believed to be confident that a buyer/investor will be found. It is understood that the brand’s UK distributors RBS Performance will continue to service Isaac bikes and honour warranties.

Earlier this year, Isaac recalled all of its full carbon forks and expander plugs built since 2004.

Issac International are registered in Britain but their operations (R&D, marketing, etc.) are based in Germany.
