Canadian helmet and clothing manufacturers Louis Garneau have released details of their latest lid, the Quartz.

As with most road racing helmets, ventilation is key and huge vents have been used to keep the rider’s head cool with what Louis Garneau call ‘Evacuation Channel technology’ – essentially getting air in and out of the helmet as efficiently as possible.

Rider-friendly features like an easy to adjust one-hand retention system are used, as well as a detachable visor and ergonomic padding. Priced at $140 the Quartz will be available in the USA in April 2010.
