Lynskey Performance Designs have come up with two packages for people wanting to run Truvativ's HammerSchmidt planetary gearing system on their titanium frames.

For US$955 (approx £590 at current exchange rate) they will add ISCG tabs and HammerSchmidt-specific cable routing to any new Lynskey frame, and supply it with a HammerSchmidt crankset, bottom bracket and X.9 shifter.

Anyone who already has a Lynskey can send it back to be modified. For $365 (approx £225) the company will prep and face the bottom bracket to Truvativ's specifications, add ISCG tabs and HammerSchmidt-specific cable routing, and refinish the frame for a like-new appearance.

Lynskey say they are responding to demand from customers, in particular people who have bought, or are interested in buying, one of their Ridgeline-LT all-mountain hardtails.

“We understand that most people either don't have ISCG tabs on their current bike or the tools and confidence to perform irreversible modifications to their existing frame," said Mark Lynskey. “We wanted to make it as easy as possible to buy a bike that is ready to ride.”
