Magura offering 29er and 650B suspension forks

New TS6 and TS8 are 'lighter, stiffer and easier'

Magura are bringing out a new range of TS (Team Suspension) mountain bike forks which includes options for both 29in and 650B (27.5in) wheels, as well as standard 26in hoops.

At this stage details of the changes for 2013 are scant, but the German company are promising "a new design, a new name and new internal componentry", with emphasis on reduced weight, improved stiffness and easier maintenance.

There are forks for everything from cross-country racing to all-mountain riding, available in four travel lengths – 80, 100, 120 and 150mm – with Magura's Lift Select travel-adjust system available as an option on select models. All the 29er and 650B forks have 15mm axles for improved tracking stiffness, while all but three of the 26in forks use standard 9mm quick-release axles. All have 32mm stanchions.

The TS6 is Magura's new entry-level fork, available with 80, 100 or 120mm of travel, in 26in and 29in versions, with claimed weights starting at 1,690g. The higher-end TS8 is lighter, with weights starting from 1,299g. Pricier models feature upgraded damping (Albert Select or Albert SL, instead of the more basic DLO2).
