Marzocchi have traditionally focused on the bigger-hitting end of the riding spectrum when it comes to rear shocks but new for 2012 is a sub-200g cross-country unit, which is due to be unveiled at next week's Eurobike show.
The Roco Lite is said to weigh just 198g – 57g less than the Italian suspension specialists' lightest 2011 shock, the Roco LO. That puts it in the same ballpark as some of DT Swiss's offerings (although their super-light XR Carbon is still about 50g lighter).
Adjustments are kept to a minimum to save grams but the Roco Lite still has a lockout switch and rebound dial. The air can and shock shaft are hard anodised for improved durability, and it's available in 165.1 x 38.1mm or 190.5 x 50mm lengths.
