Entries are now open for the Mega Avalanche downhill race which takes place in the Alpine resort of Alpe D’Huez, France on July 11-12th.
Probably the most exhausting downhill course in the world, hundreds of riders tackle rocky, snow-covered 32km course which has over 8,500ft of descent.
MBUK technical editor Ian Collins took on the mighty course last year, and he says: “When you let off the brakes on a steep piste like that, it feels like someone is shoving you down the slope. Full-on 40mph drifts felt awesome and I was soon having some of the best fun I’ve had on two wheels.”
