Moots has announced the ultimate glitzy add-on for owners of their prized titanium road bikes: a sterling silver head tube badge custom made for Moots by California jeweler Michael Cherney. They're not cheap at $300 apiece, but they're sure to be highly prized.

Astute readers may have heard of Michael Cherney as he also happens to be the creator of Ibis Cycles' famed Hand Job brake housing stop. Cherney builds each of the badges using traditional lost wax and investment casting techniques, and total finished weight is one troy ounce. According to Moots, the silver badges are a direct bolt-on replacement for "modern era" road frames so installation should be a simple plug-and-play affair.

Interested buyers should act fast, however. Moots says that only eight are available in total through its website - and there's no guarantee that the company will commission any more.
