For many, mountain biking is a great excuse to get away from your other half for a bit and spend some time with your mates. But if it's always been your dream to find a partner who rides, a new service could be just the thing for you.

UK-based Fusion Breaks are holding two Singles Biking and Hiking Weekends over the spring bank holidays. Aimed at 25- to 45-year-olds, the emphasis isn't on dating but on "enjoying a great weekend with other like-minded cyclists and walkers who want to socialise and have fun".

Organisers say most of the women's places are already booked, so it could be a great opportunity to meet new people who share your love of the great outdoors.

The first event takes place on the South Downs in West Sussex from 22-25 April, with the second in Llanwrtyd Wells, mid-Wales on 29 April - 2 May. Prices start at £269 if you book before the end of the month, and include three days of guided rides, accommodation and meals. For more information, visit www.shop.fusionbreaks.com.
