2x2 Worldwide, distributors of Land Rover and Phase bikes in the UK have released details of one of the bikes in their new road range, the Race.

Aimed at beginner riders or those who want a cheap hack bike, the Race will retail at £499 and come with a 7005 aluminium frame, carbon fork, 16-speed Shimano STI shifters, Shimano chainset and Mavic CX22 aero rims.

According to 2x2 the Race has been developed as a result of the popularity of the company’s 2010 Land Rover commute bike range.

Scott Hillyard, Sales Director for 2x2 Worldwide said: “We have been bowled over by the success of the commute and flat bar bikes in the 2010 Land Rover range launched last September so, after constant prompting from our customer base we are now launching road specific bikes for 2010.”

The Race should be ready to buy at the end of February 2010. We'll bring you the details of the other new bikes in the range when they're available.
