A new Euro Fourcross Series has been launched, with the inaugural race taking place in Prague, Czech Republic on 18 April 18.

The series, created by Zdenek Pol, Chris Roberts and other European race organisers, will stop at: Szczawno Zdroj, Poland on 24 April; Winterberg, Germany on 22 May; Harthill, UK on 29 May; and Leogang, Austria on 26 June.

British four-cross champion Scott 'Boom Boom' Beaumont is excited at the prospect of racing in the new series, especially at the new track in Harthill, Cheshire.

He told BikeRadar: "Four-cross racing, especially in Europe, has been gaining huge momentum over the past couple of seasons, with lots of interest from new riders, fresh tracks and improved TV coverage.

“I'm ecstatic that this new series has been created, but especially because a round will be coming here to the UK. The new track at Harthill has been designed and built by Phil Saxena and will provide great racing and action for spectators. I visited the site last weekend and it's certainly one of, if not the, best track in Britain.”

Beaumont is setting his sights high. “Of course, I'll be looking to win this race on home soil," said. "It'll be tough with Europe’s best riders there racing, but I'll be fighting for the victory.”
