UK company Pinnacle have added five new off-road models to their range – two full-suspension mountain bikes, two hardtails and one cyclo-cross bike. They will be launched in March and will be available exclusively from Evans in the UK.

Slotting into the ‘all-mountain’ end of the market, the 5.5in travel Cascade is the result of two years' of development and certainly looks impressive on paper.

The black and lime green Cascade 1.0 comes with a RockShox Recon 335 Solo Air fork, providing 130mm of travel, and a Fox Float R rear shock. It has Shimano SLX gearing and a Hollowtech II chainset. Wheels are a combination of Shimano disc hubs and WTB Speed Disc rims. RRP on the 1.0 is £1,399.99.

Upgrades on the £1,799.99 Cascade 2.0 model include a Fox Float RP2 rear shock and RockShox Revelation Dual Air fork. A mix of Shimano XT and SLX take care of the shifting.

Pinnacle's new long-travel hardtail design is dubbed the Coldharbour. Frame geometry has been tweaked to accept 130-140mm forks, with the Coldharbour 1.0 rolling with a RockShox Tora 302 Solo Air fork and the 2.0 boasting a Revelation Dual Air. The £899.99 Coldharbour 1.0 has a mix of SRAM X5 and X9, while the 2.0 has Shimano’s SLX shifting kit.

Pinnacle have added an entry level cyclo-cross bike to their '09 range and the £749.99 eXpede 0.0 is not for fans of stealth bikes. In tangerine orange, this thing will stand out from the crowd at the local race or the commute to work. It’s got good mud clearance, rack and mudguard fittings, and we can see it being a popular all-rounder bike.
