California-based Ibis Cycles have named 2pure Ltd of Edinburgh, Scotland as their new distributor for the United Kingdom, switching from Jungle/Stif, their UK distributor since 2005.

"California and Scotland share many cultural values, such as the acceptance of men in skirts," said Ibis president Tom Morgan. "This exchange is a natural extension of the ties that already exist."

With the move 2pure will become the UK's source for the Ibis Mojo, Mojo SL and new Mojo HD models, among others. Ibis have introduced several carbon models to the US and UK markets since their relaunch in 2005, including the Tranny hardtail, Silk SL road bike and Hakkalügi cyclo-cross bike. Former world and national champion racer Brian Lopes signed with the company in 2007.

2pure will debut the 2010 Ibis line at the 2009 London Cycle Show, running from October 8 -11.
