Mark Cavendish and a handful of other cycling stars are showing off the latest from Oakley, the Green Fade Collection that mashes up an old-school look with new-school lens technology.

Green Fade versions of the EVZero, Radar EV Path, Flak 2.0 XL and RadarLock Path go on sale July 15.

Oakley made 100,000 of the Green Fade sunglasses, each hand painted at the company's headquarters in Foothill Ranch, California.

While the green does happen to go nicely with the Tour de France sprinter's jersey, the style is a nod to Oakley products from 1980.

Many of the new sunglasses feature Prizm lenses, which are tuned for eight different sports (including road and trail riding).
