US cycle clothing specialists Pactimo are releasing a special edition jersey to raise funds for victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Based on their existing race-fit Ascent jersey, it features a crane (bird) – the Japanese symbol for fortune and happiness.

All profits from the ‘Jersey For A Cause' will be used to help set up supervised children centres throughout north-west Japan. These will act as shelters while adults begin the extensive rebuilding operation.

Jerseys can be ordered worldwide. Both men’s and women’s versions are available, for US$60. All orders placed on the Pactimo website by 15 April will be delivered by 14 May; orders after 15 April will be delivered within four weeks.
