Pearl Izumi will be outfitting BMC Switzerland's full complement of cycling teams for three years, including the BMC Racing Team as well as development, mountain bike and enduro programs.

“Pearl Izumi is one of the most respected apparel makers in our industry,” said Steven Jonckheere, BMC's sports marketing manager. “We trust that Pearl Izumi will help drive our teams forward, from both a technical and aesthetic stance."

The cycling kits use Pearl Izumi’s PRO Aero and PRO Transfer fabrics, as well as patented sleeve construction for aerodynamics. Pearl Izumi worked with the Garmin team in the past to develop new race clothing. The company has already spent time in the wind tunnel with a few riders and is committing resources for more testing and development for the coming years.

BMC's young rider Tejay van Garderen has already been busy in the new clothing, taking second at the Tour de San Luis.

“Outfitting some of the fastest cyclists on the planet is an endeavor we do not take lightly,” said Pearl Izumi vice president Cache Mundy. “These riders have inspired our entire company.Using the most technically advanced fabrics, fit and constructions, BMC Racing’s aerodynamic uniforms will the fastest apparel available.”
