Team Sky are offering members of the public the chance to ride with them at their official launch in London on 4 January.
Riders must join the squad's Facebook page and fill in a simple form. Three hundred will be selected at random to join the likes of Bradley Wiggins, Edvald Boasson Hagen and Juan Antonio Flecha.
But competition will be stiff – the Facebook page already has more than 10,000 fans. The lucky riders will receive a text message before 8am on the day of the ride providing details of the secret start location.
The initiative is part of broadcaster Sky's aim to get one million new cyclists on bikes by 2013.
Team Sky's roster was finalised earlier this month when, following months of speculation, it was announced that Wiggins would be joining the British-based squad. The team will ride Pinarello Dogmas.
