In an age where every ride must be logged and shared on Strava, there’s a new app that lets you show off your route from above — and you don't even need to own a drone!

Relive is a free third-party Strava plug-in that uses GPS data and satellite imaging to retrace a rider's route, providing a bird's-eye view of the ride. Think of Relive as a mashup of Google Maps and Strava.

In addition to tracing your route, Relive will mark your maximum speed and elevation, and the locations of any geo-tagged photos that you shot while riding. Since Relive pulls all this data from your Strava account, it can also summarize your ride using the total distance traveled, moving time, elevation gain, average speed and average heart rate.

The only thing missing is commentary by Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen giving you a blow-by-blow account of how the ride went down.

To use Relive, simply sign up and connect it to your Strava account. (Relive is open to free and premium Strava users.)

A few hours after your ride, Relive will send a computer-generated view of your ride to the email address associated with your Strava account.

If you have an epic ride from earlier this season that you would like to relive, you’re out of luck. For now, Relive can only document rides that happen after the plugin has been authorized.
