This season the Belgian bike brand Ridley Bikes is providing the Lotto-Belisol team with four different bikes: the Noah FAST aero bike, the Helium SL road bike and the Dean time trial bike along with the new-for-2013 Fenix.
BikeRadar wrote about the launch of the Fenix last year, but Ridley announced a new version of the bike, the Fenix Classic. Ridley also said that Lotto-Belisol will race the machines on the cobbles of the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.

“What will surprise most, is that the Fenix frame costs less than half of an average frame used by professional riders,” said Jochen Bessemans, RIdley’s PR & marketing manager. “This price setting makes it possible for amateur riders to have an absolute top frame without having to empty their pockets.”
The Fenix has seat stays designed to absorb some of the impact from rough roads, with flatter sections in the middle.
Like all Ridley’s new road bikes, the 1,200g frame has a tapered head tube from 1 1/8in to 1.5in, a press-fit bottom bracket and flip-flop internal routing grommets that can accommodate standard cabling or Shimano Di2.
With a Campagnolo Chorus group and a Rotor crankset, the new 2,699 Euro ($3,610/£2,326) Fenix Classic comes built for rough roads with 4ZA ‘Comfort’ handlebar tape and 25mm Continental GrandPrix 4-Season tires.
