The Sea Otter Classic may no longer be the first event on the international mountain bike race calendar but it's still the earliest opportunity for many manufacturers to show off their latest wares to the press and public, and this year's outing didn't disappoint.

BikeRadar's James Huang, Matt Pacocha and Ben Delaney were there at the Laguna Seca raceway in California, along with What Mountain Bike's Justin Loretz, to bring you the inside scoop from the event, and various launches in the week preceding it.

There's a full list of our tech coverage below, in case you missed anything. For full coverage of the racing, visit our sister site www.cyclingnews.com. Check out our image gallery for a wrap-up of some of the weird and wonderful stuff we saw at Sea Otter 2012.
