Biking fans are in for a treat or two at this year’s Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (9-11 March), with two screenings of some of the best films from the last few years.

The action starts on the festival’s opening day at 7.15pm, with airings of The Collective’s short film from 2011 immediately followed by Anthill Films’ From the Inside Out and the Red Bull Rampage from 2010. The same line-up is repeated the following day at 3.30pm.

The screening on 10 March opens with Clay Porter’s 3 Minute Gaps at 6pm, with Danny MacAskill’s Industrial Revolutions, Into Thin Air, The Trail Collector and Chile’s annual urban downhill event, VCA 2010. It will finish just in time for an interview at 8.30pm with trials rider Chris Akrigg, who suffered horrendous injuries in a riding accident last April.

Sheffield’s Showroom Cinema, said to be the biggest independent cinema outside London, plays host to the festival and you can book your tickets here. To whet your appetite, here are a couple of trailers from the films.
