The seven-day Gore Bike Wear TransWales 2010 (powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport) takes place on 14th – 21st August, and is set to cover over 500km and climb a total of over 15,000 metres.

The event - which is now in its fifth year - will see riders from 14 countries hit the start line in Builth Wells and compete on the best natural and manmade mountain bike trails that Wales has to offer.

There will be five special stages at this year’s event, including a night riding, climbing stage and a vertically assisted timed run. Detailed information on each stage can be found on the TransWales website

Entries are still being accepted – you can either download an entry form and post it or enter online. If you need another incentive to ride one of the most challenging mountain bike events in the UK, a new jersey has been created for all entrants too.
