Stunt displays, plus mountain and commuter bike demo rides

The inaugural London Bike Show takes place from 13-16 January at ExCeL in Docklands. Alongside top brands selling the latest bikes and gear, one of the key attractions will be the Škoda Bike Arena.

Here, visitors will be able to watch displays by The Clan stunt team, ride the latest mountain bikes on a timber trail designed and built by the experts from Glentress in Scotland, or get stuck into the commuter experience on the test track.

The Clan Stunt Shows

The Clan, made up of some of Scotland's most talented trials, BMX and mountain bike riders, will be doing regular displays throughout the show. Expect to see bikes and riders flying through the air, performing near-impossible feats of balance and nerve. All of this on a custom-built stunt rig which pushes the riders to their limits, and sometimes beyond. There'll be plenty of chances to meet the crew during the show.

Forest Trail

The Glentress Trailfairies are a group of volunteers who help build and maintain the world-class mountain bike trails at Glentress Forest in the Scottish Borders. They'll be building a full woodland-style track for you to ride in the Škoda Bike Arena at ExCeL London.

Just like at a real 7stanes trail centre, there'll be a choice of routes – a blue graded beginner/improver track with flowing North Shore style timber trail, a series of red graded obstacles for more advanced riders, and a black option for experts. There'll be a challenge for all ability levels, and coaching from the team, so get yourself signed up for a session at the show.

The Commuter Track

The London cycling experience will be brought into the Bike Arena in the form of the Commuter Track. You'll be able to choose your favourite road bike and take a spin, but be warned – you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for some of the challenges of cycling in the big smoke!
