Specialized is recalling approximately 175 units of 2012 model year Source Eleven and Source Expert Disc bikes that have Supernova Switchable Dynamo front hubs. The set screws in the front hub can loosen and stop the front wheel from turning, posing a hazard to riders.

To identify the affected Source Eleven and Source Expert Disc bikes, check the front hub for one of the following model numbers: 1207, 1208, 1226, 1227, 1228, 1241, 1254, 1263, 1284 or 1344. The numbers are followed by the suffix "OE".

The affected models can be identified by the four-digit number (before the "OE" suffix) on the Supernova hubs

No incidents or injuries have been reported, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Affected customers should immediately stop riding the bikes and bring them to an authorized Specialized dealer for a free replacement front wheel with a new Supernova hub.

A list of authorized dealers can be found at www.specialized.com via the Dealers tab in the upper right hand corner of the page.

The bikes were sold at Specialized dealers in the United States from October 2011 to September 2013 for between $2,000 and $2,700.
