SRAM's new "Mountain kit" is designed for road riders to be able to reach the summit of the steepest mountain and hill climbs.

Bringing together the PG1070 11-32 tooth cassette (£74.99), an S Series derailleur, which has a long enough cage to cope with big cassette sprockets (£82.99) and the 265g PC1091 Power chain (£59.99), the full kit comes in at £217.97.

The cassette sports a 32 toothed big sprocket and is the same size as the one used by Giro d'Italia winner Alberto Contador during his pre-race reconnaissance of one of the toughest ever routes. The kits will be available through Fisher Outdoor Leisure, though a release date has yet to be confirmed.
