German power meter experts SRM are expanding their offerings for 2013 with several new models, which they hope will start shipping December 2012 or January 2013.
The biggest addition to their crankset range will be for Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 11 speed. SRM are incorporating their power meter onto Shimano Hollowtech II 7800 crankarms that will accommodate Shimano 9000 chainrings. Options are currently for 165-180mm length cranks and chainring combinations of 53/39, 52/36 and 50/34. MSRP for this is US$3,145, an extra US$750 if you want a PC7 head unit.
SRM will also be offering an FSA K-Force Light BB386 Evo crankset for 2013. Just a 53/39 chainring option with crank lengths between 170-175mm for a claimed total weight, sans bottom bracket, of 704g. Add 72g for a BB-PF30 ceramic bottom bracket and you have a light package. Suggested retail is US$2,845 for this unit.
Finally there's a new SRM track model coming out with Rotor cranks rather than the SRM only version. It's a track standard 144mm BCD but doesn't come with chainrings, you'll need to fit those yourself. Claimed weight is 745g with a Rotor BB1 bottom bracket included. It will sell for the same as SRM's current track cranks, US$3,245 for the crankset and BB, plus US$750 for a PC7 head unit.

Speaking of Rotor, given that they recently launched their own power meter at Eurobike, does that now raise issues with competition with SRM? Shaun Simon of SRM North America didn't appear overly concerned, telling BikeRadar, "It's not out yet so I don't have an opinion on it yet."
He also said that SRM's head unit, the PC7, will not be changing for now but "new things are on the horizon".
