Following the launch of new crank options from Shimano and FSA at last year’s Interbike, Stages Cycling has just announced another four crank options that will feature its left-arm based power meter.

The new left-crank offerings are the Shimano XTR M9000 Race and M9020 Trail mountain cranks, Shimano 5800 105 road crank and FSA’s BB386EVO Energy road crank.

The Shimano 5800 105 (US$699) road crank will be available in either black or silver. This model is expected to be available from February. Crank length options are 165, 170, 172.5 and 175mm.

The Shimano XTR M9000 Race or M9020 Trail configurations (US$899) were requested by many of Stage’s off-road athletes and are also due in February. They come in crank length options of 165, 170, 175 and 180mm.

The FSA BB386EVO Energy crank (US$699) is also available as part of a hybrid carbon-alloy option, with FSA’s hollow-moulded carbon SL-K Light crankset (US$999), which weighs a claimed 686g (excluding the bottom bracket). Being BB386, this hybrid set should fit the majority of road bottom bracket types.

The FSA BB386EVO left crank and complete SLK-Light crankset will be available in 165, 170, 172.5 and 175mm lengths.

UK and Australian pricing is to be confirmed.
