Tickets have gone on sale for the 2011 UCI Cross Country Mountain Bike World Cup round in Dalby Forest, Yorkshire. The venue hosted its debut World Cup race in 2010, which went on to be voted the best cross-country round of the year, so expectations are high.

The event, on May 20-22, will kick off with the Pro Sprint Eliminator – an urban race in the nearby town of Pickering – while Saturday's Dalby Dare will give members of the public the chance to ride a lap of the World Cup course.

But it's the Sunday that's the real focus of the weekend, when the world's elite mountain bike racers will take on technical features like Medusa’s Drop, Worry Gill and Dixon’s Hollow as they fight for supremacy. Ticket prices start at £8 for one day and £19 for the weekend. For more information or to book your place, visit www.mtbworldcup.co.uk.
